Fortress is a feature length crime thriller based on the Sonic the Hedgehog: Fortress of Fear adventure book released in 1995 by Troll Associates. The film is to feature an ensemble cast of all-star actors and Emily Blunt repeatedly doing "yoga push-ups" like she did in the trailer for Edge of Tomorrow. The film is to stay close to the original plot and dialogue of the book, but has a noticeably darker tone and includes multiple gruesome deaths. The film is to be rated R by the MPAA due to the aforementioned violence but also for the multiple sex scenes (Sonic and Sally, Rotor and Nicole) which are to be added to reach a feature length running time.

Although casting is not entirely final, Adam Driver is to have a definite role as Miles "Tails" Prower. It's also to be noted that later in the film all casting roles are given to Adam Driver except for Sally Acorn.)
